Principles of Health Occupations
Students will learn about in-demand careers in the healthcare field. They review the core competencies that are relevant to many health occupations including the basics of the body systems, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and more. In addition, students concentrate on specific skills needed to work in health care fields such as Direct Support Professional and Home Health Aide. Students receive certifications in HIPAA and CPR/ AED. Upon completion of this 1-year course, successful students can be recommended for Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant.
