On Monday, February 28, Rockland BOCES welcomed students and staff to the new Mountainside High School!  Located immediately adjacent to the administrative offices for Nyack Public Schools at 13A Dickenson Avenue in Nyack, the space underwent a full infrastructure renovation, including new electric, lighting, fixtures, restrooms, carpeting, furniture and technology. Mountainside students now have access to new learning and support spaces, in addition to a dedicated auditorium/lunchroom and improved gymnasium.

Students were welcomed into the newly renovated school by teachers as well as Principal Jared Moran, Assistant Principal Heather Dague, and Rockland BOCES District Superintendent/CEO Dr. Sarah Chauncey and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Amy Albers.

Formerly known as CBI Tech High School and located on the Rockland BOCES campus in West Nyack, Mountainside High School is an alternative secondary program for students with emotional, behavioral and learning challenges. Students benefit from the small class size, a strengths-based approach and extra supports needed for success.
