Congratulations to Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) Digital Design students Yannis Acevedo and Bryson Leone whose design concepts were selected for the 2022 United Way of Rockland County’s Spring and Fall Days of Caring, considered the largest community service events in Rockland County. Yannis and Bryson’s artwork will be featured on hundreds of tee shirts worn by participants during the annual celebration. The 2022 Spring Days of Caring will be held April 18-May 6 and volunteers will work with local non-profits to complete service projects throughout Rockland County.

UWRC President and CEO Stephen Papas visited our CTEC Digital Design and Marketing program last week to recognize the winners and present them each with a $100 check! He spoke with CTEC Instructor Patrick Mitrione and the Digital Design class and thanked them for their submissions and hard work. “Everyone in this class submitted such incredible designs so it was very hard to choose the winning designs. We’re so grateful for your dedication,” said Stephen Papas.

Yannis, first year CTEC student from Clarkstown North High School, and Bryson, second year CTEC student from Suffern High School, are both working towards completing Adobe certifications that will help them advance in the field of digital design. “When students have the opportunity to do real life work, it gives them the skills to build on for a future career,” said Stephen Papas.

Our Career and Technical Education Center Digital Design students gain hands-on experience creating digital artwork from concept to final product – working with real clients. Thank you to the United Way of Rockland County for your continued partnership!
