The health and wellness of our students, faculty, staff and families is our top priority. We want students and employees to feel comfortable and safe in our schools. The Rockland BOCES Reopening Plan incorporates recommendations and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

The following protocols and procedures (links below) will be in place in all Rockland BOCES schools and programs for the 2020-21 academic year. Training has been provided to all staff and students on required health and safety protocols.

In order for a staff member or student to return to school after experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or testing positive, they must provide documentation from a health care provider following an evaluation, a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test result, and symptom resolution, or if COVID-19 positive, release from isolation.

COVID-19 Testing

Rockland BOCES will notify the Rockland County Department of Health immediately upon notification of any positive COVID-19 diagnostic test result by an individual within school facilities or on school grounds, including students, faculty, staff and visitors of Rockland BOCES.
