Effective July 1, District Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sarah Chauncey and Chief Operating Officer/Deputy District Superintendent Dr. Amy Albers comprise the Rockland BOCES Executive Leadership Team.
The Rockland BOCES Board of Education voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Albers to this new role during its March 3 meeting. She began her career at Rockland BOCES in 1993 as Principal of the Jesse J. Kaplan School. With a high level of expertise in all facets of Special Education, Dr. Albers is an innovative and strategic leader, with the breadth and scope of experience that makes her uniquely qualified to co-lead the agency with Dr. Chauncey.
Sharing daily administrative responsibilities and management of key agency initiatives in close collaboration allows the Rockland BOCES District Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer to provide exceptional regional leadership and outstanding programs and services to the greater Rockland County community.
