Congratulations to Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) Digital Design and Marketing student Sheina Leger! Sheina’s concept was selected for the 2020 United Way of Rockland County’s Day of Caring, with her artwork featured on hundreds of tee shirts for participants in UWRC’s annual event. Representing the East Ramapo Central School District, Sheina is a member of the Rockland BOCES SkillsUSA team and continues to show tremendous promise in the field of digital design. Her artwork was chosen from among 30 submissions for its originality, intricate detail and for capturing the spirit of the UWRC Fall Day of Caring.

Dana Treacy, UWRC President and CEO commented, “UWRC has had a wonderful partnership with the Digital Marketing Program at Rockland BOCES for several years, which provides students, like Sheina, the opportunity to interact with UWRC as their client and draft a design based on our needs, providing students with an invaluable work experience.”

Pfizer Inc., the 2020 Day of Caring Student Leadership Award Sponsor, is particularly pleased to recognize and acknowledge Sheina for her creativity, thoroughness of design, and attention to detail. “Excellence and joy are among the Pfizer values, and to see these characteristics in a budding designer is truly wonderful. Pfizer Pearl River colleagues are grateful the United Way is able to help so many people,” said Pam Soni, Pearl River Site Affairs and Colleague Engagement Lead.

Thank you United Way of Rockland County and Pfizer for your continued partnership.
