Rockland BOCES currently offers the following benefits to its full-time and part-time employees:
Health Insurance
All health benefits are provided under the Empire Plan for New York State Government employees. Information can be found by going to NYS Health Program, a direct link for Rockland BOCES employees. The Rockland BOCES group number is 30500.
AFLAC
Supplemental insurance is available at an additional cost through AFLAC.
COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) of 1985
Continuation coverage can become available to you when you would otherwise lose your group health coverage. It can also become available to other members of your family who are covered under the Plan when they would otherwise lose their group health coverage.

Dental Insurance
Delta Dental:
Dental Insurance is provided to employees when one year of employment has been completed. The effective date of coverage will be the first day of the month following the employee’s one-year anniversary. At that time, benefits and methods of processing will be explained. Dental Claims are processed through Delta Dental under Group#10098.

CSEA Employee Benefit Fund – Equinox:
Dental insurance under the Equinox Plan is available to CSEA employees and to employees who are not covered under a collective bargaining agreement.
The effective date of coverage will be the 1st of the month following the eligible employees’ hire date. Information about the plan will be given to the employee at the time of enrollment.
Dental claims are processed through the CSEA Employee Benefit fund under group #723.

Flexible Benefit Plan
A flexible benefit plan enables you to set aside pre-tax dollars for un-reimbursed medical expenses, dependent care, and health insurance premiums. For additional information, go to WageWorks.
Life Insurance
A Life Insurance Benefit is available to Central Office Administrators, Managerial Administrators, Confidential staff and BASA. For information about this benefit, please contact Patty Savage in the Employee Benefits Office at 845-627-4716.
Vision Insurance
Vision insurance is provided by Davis Vision under group number XS1. The effective date of your insurance will be the first of the month following your hire date provided you apply for coverage within 30 days of your hire date. For additional information, go to www.davisvision.com. If you are not yet a member, enter client code 3149 to search for providers.
Workers’ Compensation
Rockland BOCES provides Workers’ Compensation coverage for all employees. Workers’ Compensation is an insurance program that provides wage replacement and medical treatment to employees injured or becoming ill arising out of and in the course of employment as determined by the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.
