Congratulations to Jaden Rodriguez — our Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for December!
Jaden has shown great growth and improvement since he started attending Kaplan several years ago. He is able to stand up and lower himself back into his classroom chair with both hands supported. To transition between locations in the school, Jaden uses a crocodile walker or gait trainer which help him start and stop walking independently. “Jaden is a lovely and engaging young man who has done a wonderful job in this program,” said teacher Joan Tisbe. Congratulations, Jaden! Keep up the great work!
Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing and walking.
